New Class
for 2006
Front Drive Vehicles
Jr. Stock Class (Age 14-18)
The Jr. Stock class is a beginning/novice class, which will have only youth racing; NO adults will be in this class. Trophies by class/night sponsor are the awards. BMP Speedway Official Track Rules apply to this class.
 
 Hobby Stock formerly Pure Stock
A hobby stock is a stock car with factory engine, tires, wheels and suspension. In short, a pure stock is a car straight from the factory that has had the interior gutted and replaced with a roll cage and racing seats. A hobby stock must have all safety requirements of the other classes, but no other racing components are allowed. 
Wissota Street Stock
A street stock is made out of an American made, full frame car with the minimum wheel base of 108 inches or an American made uni-body car with a minimum wheel base of 110 inches. These cars much weigh at minimum of 3,200 pounds and must remain in stock condition. The engines in these cars are kept within strict regulations. A plastic nose distinguishes the street stock from the pure stock.
Wissota Super Stock
A super stock must weigh a minimum for 2,800 pounds with a maximum 360 cubic inch motor. It consists of a tubular frame covered with sheet metal. They are required to run Hoosier Race Tires as are the other classes in Wissota. Strict rules apply to these cars. Super stocks produce speeds similar to those of the modified. They do not have a spoiler with on the back of the car.
Wissota Modified
A modified is a full body, open wheel race car with a tubular frame covered with sheet metal and modified rear stub. There are no front fenders on these cars, front wheels are in plain view. The cars must weigh a minimum of 2,500 pounds and must meet other strict Wissota rules.
Wissota Late Model
Late models are open to a lot of different ideas in building. The chassis is made of round or square tubing covered with sheet metal. Cars must have a minimum wheelbase of 103 inches. They must have an American made style body with a stock or custom-made nose piece. Cars must weigh less than 2,300 pounds with a 360 cubic inch motor or 2,425 pounds with a 410 motor. Strict rules apply to these cars. Cars have a spoiler on the rear. You will feel them rumble as they go by.
WISSOTA was founded in 1981 by eight track promoters in Wisconsin and Minnesota, with the intent of offer uniform rules for the promoters and drivers. The track promoters meet annually, not only to elect their board of directors, but also to debate and vote on rules and enforcement procedures. Currently, over 2,400 drivers are licensed through Wissota for competition at sanctioned tracks.
