TRANSPONDER INSTALLATION SPECIFICATIONS

Must be mounted on cars by July 30, 2005
To the rear, 30 inches.  Measured from the centerline of the rear housing to the centerline of the transponder.  On the passenger (rt) side.

On the rear side of the rear motor plate.  On the passenger  (rt) side.

To the rear, 30 inches.  Measured from the centerline of the rear housing to the centerline of the transponder.  On the passenger (rt) side.

To the rear, 24 inches.  Measured from the centerline of the rear housing to the centerline of the transponder.  On the passenger (rt) side.

To the rear, 24 inches.  Measured from the centerline of the rear housing to the centerline of the transponder.  On the passenger (rt) side.

General Mounting Instructions

All transponders will be mounted on the passenger (rt) side.  Use your skill to make the necessary mount.

Mount as low as possible, slightly above the lower frame rail or the lowest protected point.  24" is the maximum, but should be avoided to keep a strong signal.

Your measurement should be accurate to less than 1/2 inch.

Avoid or protect from exhaust heat.

Mount securely; you don't want it to fall off during the race.

The centerline of the transponder will be the arrow on the body or on the bracket.  The arrow shows the mouning direction.
